Tucked away on Sequatchie Mountain, this little campground and hostel invites you to experience some of East Tennessee's best parks for climbing and hiking. Cliffs and waterfalls are minutes away at near by Foster Falls, Denny Cove and Castle Rock. The hostel offers 3 bedrooms, fast internet, complete kitchen, comfortable beds, smart TV, fire pit, and laundry. The campground offers dispersed sites with fire pits and picnic tables, as well as clean bathrooms and a communal barn with a microwave, fridge, games, tables and chairs. You can walk our 22 acres and even take a short hike out to our bluff. Make sure to say "Hi" to our chickens and our barn cat, Strawberry, on the way. Add in the view of the stars and that makes this the perfect basecamp after a long day out.

Solo-Tent Camper Approved
I loved tent camping here! It was my first solo trip, so it was nice to be able to see the host’s home and not be in the middle of the woods. I still felt like I was living a true camping experience, though. The stars at night were stunning and being able to shower after being on the trail was a bonus! Everyone I interacted with was kind as well. Highly recommend, especially if you’re solo!

Great place to camp with a group
Nick and Sydney were fantastic hosts. We took a big group from our church out there to camp and had such a good time. There was a ton of space for the kids to run around and play soccer and frisbee. It was so much better than going to a regular state park campground because it wasn’t crowded. We felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We will definitely come again!

Fireside Lodge - Twin Beds
Enjoyed staying there for the week. Place was quiet and they were very nice. Plenty of places to dine in the area if you didn't feel like cooking. Nice firepit setup behind the hostel. Felt very comfortable there.

Fireside Lodge - Master Bed
Great host, great hospitality! Of course I had to be the first one to get stuck in the mud hole, but thankfully Nick and his neighbor were quick to pull us out so we could enjoy our weekend. On a positive note, no other campers will have that problem lol. You’re welcome future Hipcampers! Haha It’s a very relaxing place to stay, it was so peaceful when I had my morning coffee on the patio this morning. Thanks again Nick!

Overall, not a bad place to pitch a tent for a few nights. It was quiet as I had the place to myself but the sites were close together so there would have been no privacy if anyone else was there. Not the fault of the host but the neighbors are pretty close and there were a few dogs that were a bit noisy. All in all, it felt a little too much like camping in my backyard since the neighbors are close. If you have a group wanting to camp together, this would probably be a great place to land!

Fireside Camp
Nick’s place was just as advertised. It is camping in a field and there were other campers there but it was quiet and enjoyable. The porta potty was extremely clean and just fine to use. We enjoyed the fresh eggs and the hike to the bluff was great. We would recommend to friends!
